Alex Stephens - Guitars

Alex Stephens is a guitarist and songwriter known for his precision, passion, and unmistakable fire on the fretboard. A true craftsman of modern metal, Alex has carved his name into the scene both as a performer and a producer.

Before joining Martyrs Cry, Alex made his mark performing with Angels of Babylon and later as a solo artist with his ambitious project “The Path,” which showcased an all-star lineup featuring Mark Boals (Yngwie Malmsteen), Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest), Patrick Johansson (Yngwie Malmsteen, W.A.S.P.), and Mike LePond (Symphony X). The album proved Alex’s ability to blend technical mastery with emotional depth — a rare mix that defines his signature sound.

Currently serving as the lead guitarist for Martyrs Cry, Alex brings both intensity and soul to every riff, solo, and stage performance. When he’s not performing, he’s behind the board as the founder of Dirt Romeo Studios, where he engineers, produces, and brings other artists’ visions to life with the same relentless drive that fuels his own.

Guest Appearances

While Martyrs Cry is driven by the vision and songwriting of Ray “Trenton” Thomann, the project thrives on creative collaboration. Each release brings together a powerful lineup of musicians who share the same fire, faith, and passion for the music.

From the studio to the stage, Martyrs Cry welcomes guest artists whose talent and spirit elevate every performance — adding new dimensions of sound, emotion, and intensity.

The debut album, Symphony of Rebellion: Volume One, featured the unmistakable voice of Ronny Munroe (formerly of Metal Church and Trans-Siberian Orchestra), whose commanding vocals helped define the band’s signature sound.

With every chapter, Martyrs Cry continues to unite established and emerging artists in a movement that proves metal can be both powerful and purposeful.
